Eine Prostituierte bedroht Timmy Davis, einen Schauspieler, mit einer Waffe: Er hatte drei Tage mit ihr verbracht und ihr dann einen Scheck ausgestellt, der nicht gedeckt war.
Officers John Cooper and Ben Sherman start out the day thinking they have nothing in common, but -- after responding to an eclectic array of patrol calls -- at the end of their watch, they discover this is not true. When Ben reveals details of his past to the department therapist and to Cooper, the motivation behind his decision to be a cop becomes clear. Elsewhere, Dewey becomes star struck by Timmy Davis a famous, self-obsessed actor. In true "Dewey" style, he mischievously decides to party with the celebrity, rather then book him -- leading to a rift in his partnership with Chickie Brown. Trouble ensues when Dewey loses track of the burnt-out actor, and Chickie finds herself questioning her decision to take him on as her partner.
Ben ja John joutuvat tiukkaan paikkaan, kun prostituoitu uhkaa elokuvan kuvauksissa kuuluisaa näyttelijää aseella. É a última sessão da terapia de Ben, que teve que passar por um psicólogo após o tiroteio em que matou um traficante. A rotina começa com um chamado sobre o roubo do carro de um atleta famoso. Um caso em que a polícia não devia se envolver. Em seguida, o que era para ser uma overdose de drogas, acabou se transformando num assassinato, que será investigado por Lydia e Russell. Ao darem reforço num flagrante de tentativa de homicídio, Ben e John descobrem que Dewee havia desistido da aposentadoria. Posteriormente, eles perceberiam que, mais do que nunca, Dewee dava sinais de sua irresponsabilidade e inconsequência e, principalmente, sua incapacidade em continuar sendo um policial. Aparentemente de família rica, ben mantinha um segredo, o que sempre fez John se perguntar por que o novato quis entrar para a polícia. Ele finalmente teria uma resposta...
Ben revela detalles de su pasado con el terapeuta por lo que la motivación detrás de su decisión de ser policía es clara. En otra parte, Dewey hace una grieta en su relación con su pareja cuando se convierte en estrella cuando conoce a Timmy Davis, un famoso actor, auto-obsesionado. Cuando Dewey pierde el rastro del actor, Chickie se cuestiona su decisión de asumirlo como su pareja. Mientras tanto, Russell se pone sentimental cerca de la hermana de una víctima de violación.
