It’s Labor Day weekend here in the US, and traditionally the holiday has marked the unofficial end of summer…things being what they are, it’s unlikely that this year’s holiday will resemble what anyone is used to. I take my orders from data, science and Dr. Fauci, so I am just letting it go, and looking ahead to autumn. Here at the farm, that means golden pastures, leaves turning, long walks through the fields, acorns, misty sunrises and beautiful twilights… This song is from my 2007 album “The Calling” and it holds all of those things mentioned above, magic and mysterious and beautiful and changing all at once. I need the seasons to help order my life, to bring comfort, solace, perspective, and to remind me that the end of one leads to the beginning of another, and with it the promise of every new beginning.
