While the other TV stations focused on the official Millennium celebrations, Channel Four, the station determined to be different, made their countdown to the year 2000 with this quirky show. Featuring fun and games in the studio (such as one where viewers had to guess what drunks were talking about) and interviews with both stars and the public, the centre-piece was of course midnight itself. This was marked with a girl firing a ping-pong ball from a place unmentionable on a family website!
This one-off TV special follows Graham Norton on a visit to Tokyo. Staying with a Japanese family (his room being the shrine to their dead Grandmother), he explores the city's seedy side, visits the home of a famous Japanese make-up artist, and has an embarrassing experience with an electronic toilet/bidet.
This documentary follows Graham Norton on a trip to Mexico. He stays in Mexico City with a family of Mariachi musicians and meets a variety of interesting personalities, including witches who strip him naked and spit tequila all over him. While exploring the city, Graham loads up on love spells with pornographic-sounding names at a street market and tries to arrange a meeting with the President of Mexico and visiting British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Dolly Parton invites Graham Norton to visit her theme park in Tennessee. Among other things, Graham rides a rollercoaster with 50 Dolly lookalikes, watches ostrich races at a rodeo and sings ""Islands in the Stream"" as a duet with Dolly herself.
