Sidney is lonely and longs for playmates, but no one wants to play with the big, silly elephant; he's too rough and he doesn't realize it. Then, two buzzards spot Sidney and decide he would make a marvelous meal. Sidney thinks they just want to play and ends up inadvertently terrorizing them with his playfulness.
When Sidney learns that a big game hunting safari has come to the jungle, he loses his mind with worry and fears that they may try to capture him and make him live in a zoo. Sidney pretends to be animals that the safari isn't interested in to remain unnoticed until he learns that the safari isn't even taking elephants this time. Sidney finds that he would rather be noticed and taken away by the hunters than left feeling unwanted.
