セブンシャドウズとのバトルのために、ジェネシスカンパニーへとやってきたセブンスフレイム。ヘリコプターでの移動に皆が心を躍らせる中、夜更けまでデッキを構築していたライトはどこかお疲れの様子。そこへミカドとリョウガが到着し、いよいよセブンシャドウズの待つ場所へ向かうのだが……。ヘリで連れていかれた場所は、「シャドウエリア」。ジェネシスカンパニーが作り出した8つの実験施設からなる巨大な浮島だった。ゲートの前ではセブンシャドウズが待ち構え、竜ケ崎ヒイロが「試練」を与えるという。そして、その裏でジェネシスカンパニーはアークルーラーの居場所を突き止めるための「ある計画」を実行しようとしていた。
