Kramer überredet Jerry, in die Oper zu gehen. George, Susan und Elaine sind mit von der Partie. Auch Elaines neuer Freund Joey wird dabei sein. Jerry ahnt nicht, daß es sich bei Joey um Joe Devola handelt - der ihn umbringen will...
"Crazy" Joe leaves Jerry a message saying he will put the "kibosh" on him. Kramer has tickets for the opera, Pagliacci, and everyone is going including Elaine and her boyfriend "Crazy" Joe. Elaine drops in on Joe's apartment and is she surprised by what she discovers, so she maces him with cherry Binaca and ends their relationship. Susan can't attend, so George tries to scalp her ticket. Joe, a big fan of Pagliacci, comes to the opera in clown garb; Elaine and Jerry attend together not realizing their different estranged relationships with Joe.
Elaine tekee lopun suhteestaan hulluun Joe Davolaan, mutta ei miehestä niin vain pääse eroon. Davola ilmestyy klovnin puvussa oopperaan, jonne Elaine ja Jerry ovat menossa. Uma simples saída à noite transforma-se num pesadelo quando Jerry encontra Elaine na ópera - sem saber que o seu novo namorado é o "Louco Joe Davola", o maníaco que o tem perseguido e que jura vingança por alguns motivos irreais.
Kramer tiene entradas para la ópera 'Los Payasos' e invita a toda la panda. Joe "el loco", el nuevo novio de Elaine, amenaza otra vez a Jerry y Elaine descubre algunos secretos. Mientras, como Susan no puede acudir a la ópera, George intenta revender su entrada.
George tenta vender um bilhete da ópera depois que descobre que a namorada Susan não vai. Elaine sai com o maluco Joe e ele joga uma maldição em Jerry.
