Science Ninja Team Gatchaman

In the future, earth is attacked by Galactor with a series of mechanical menaces. Each with their own vehicle and unique weapons, only Gatchaman's high tech group of five young people can defend the earth from Galactor's repeated attacks as they attempt of fulfill their mission to find Galactor's hidden headquarters and finally defeat Galactor. Gatchaman originated the concept of teams of 5 members, with their own vehicles, which has been reused in many incarnations, including the ranger series (which came over to the US as Power Rangers). Gatchman spawned two sequel series: Gatchaman II and Gatchaman Fighter. Gatchaman was brought to US audiences in a heavily edited form known as Battle of the Planets Battle of the Planets and later as G-Force. Gatchaman (科学忍者隊ガッチャマン, Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman?, 'Gruppo Scientifico Ninja Gatchaman') è una serie di anime prodotti dalla Tatsunoko, composta da tre serie televisive consecutive, Gatchaman (105 episodi), Gatchaman II (52 episodi) e Gatchaman F (48 episodi), realizzate tra gli Anni 1970 e gli Anni 1990, ed un OAV, Tecno Ninja Gatchaman, del 1994. I Gatchman in Italia hanno avuto un'edizione televisiva particolare: mentre la prima serie è giunta nella forma dell'adattamento americano con il titolo La battaglia dei pianeti, con molti tagli ed inserimenti di scene create ex novo negli USA e venti puntate in meno per un totale di soli 85 episodi, la seconda e la terza serie sono state adattate partendo direttamente da quelle giapponesi e sono state quindi trasmesse in maniera integrale, benché con qualche errore di adattamento.

Sosai X viaja millones de años luz para llegar al planeta Tierra y crea un mutante Katse Berg. 30 años más tarde, él es el líder de la organización terrorista conocida como Galactor. Ellos quieren conquistar el mundo. Desde Galactor, se controla al monstruo mecánico "Rey Tortuga", las naciones del mundo viven en el miedo. La única esperanza de la Tierra se encuentra con cinco adolescentes que se mueven como sombras. Se trata del Comando G, cinco superhéroes que llegan en su nave espacial "Godphoenix" para detener los planes maquiavélicos de Galactor de la dominación del mundo.
