The series consists of sixteen heats featuring six robots each. The heat format undergoes significant changes, with the first round now consisting of two three-way 'Eliminators' where two robots will progress to the second round. As with Series 3, the second round features a pair of one-on-one battles, the winners of which will face each other in the Heat Final. The winner of the Heat Final will progress to one of two Semi-Finals.
