Oliver and Sandy get into a big argument over marriage, he hates the idea and calls it outdated; she wants a ring on her finger - after all, it's been 6 years.
After promising to marry Sandy, Oliver is now being forced to sleep on the camp bed, and have no 'nookie'. They agree to marry in a week, so Oliver doesn't get splinters, so there's lots to do - and sort out a honeymoon.
It's the night before their wedding, and Sandy stays at home with her mother. Oliver meanwhile, has a stag do with the lads. After a drunken night he realizes he's lost his case for the wedding, and has to return home.
