Meg comes back to work as a prison officer. Sandy gets to hear that Bea is seriously ill and wonders whether she should take over as top dog. Jim explains to Janet that Erica will soon be back. Conway tries to persuade Doreen to go in for a correspondence course. Judy is annoyed when she gets hear that Sandy knows about her pacemaker. Kate asks Judy to make sure that Bea makes an appointment to see a doctor. Sandy wants to try to get hold of painkillers for Bea. Colleen's pocket book has gone missing, and she orders a cell search, where she finds something in Sandy's cupboard. Janet and Meg find Colleen's pocket book in the staff room. Sandy accuses Judy and Doreen of searching her room. Jim stays overnight at Janet's place. Judy tries (and fails) to cheer Bea up.
