North Uist

Musical documentary presented by Julie Fowlis and Muireann NicAmhlaoibh where they explore their shared musical heritage. In this programme, Julie and Muireann visit North Uist and Berneray and accompanying them from Ireland are top musicians Donnchadh Gough and Síle Denvir. Uist has long been renowned for songs, piping and a strong oral tradition and welcoming them to Uist are tradition bearers, pipers and singers including Rona Lightfoot; Catriona Garbutt and Gillebrìde MacMillan.
