Luisa hooks up with a group of girlfriends on a night out in Cardiff and breaks down their earnings over shots, she goes to an Oxford Union debate to meet the politicians of the future and visits Blackpool to hang out with young entrepreneur, Jake, whose business is thriving even though there are fewer opportunities in the area.

Luisa looks at her local council, Birmingham to see how cuts have affected the city. With not enough money in the government coffers, she looks at who could contribute more. From big business, the elderly to workers on the ‘gig’ economy, she looks at all these options. This subject is also a personal one for Luisa, as her mum died of cancer last year and she feels underfunding may have played a part in why her Mum didn’t get the best treatment when she was ill.
