Theme Notes Series 290: Let’s Pretend Play School’s series ‘Let’s pretend’ aims to nurture the imagination, creativity and a sense of wonder. Imaginative play not only provides enjoyment to young children, but it also helps them understand the real world and their place in it. It can also help them learn about experiences and people they may not directly come into contact with. Language, social and cognitive ability are also developed through imaginative play. A strong sense of imagination and creativity assists children become confident problem solvers.
