Rayden appears and informs Johnny Cage and Sub-Zero that they must go to outworld to defeat Shang Tsung, though Rayden is acting rather strangely when he informs them of this. Meanwhile Liu Kang meets up with another Lin Kuei warrior, Smoke, and they make their own plan to go into outworld to defeat Tsung.
