The Case of the Crooked Candle

Zwei Frauen erleben in einem Friseursalon eine ganz besondere Überraschung: Sie stellen fest, dass sie die gleiche Adresse haben und mit dem gleichen Mann verheiratet sind. Als eine von ihnen, Martha Bradford, Perry Mason bittet, die Angelegenheit aufzuklären, erweist sich dies als sehr klug. Denn kurz darauf wird ihr Mann ermordet: und sie gilt als Hauptverdächtige.

While Martha Bradford is waiting for her appointment at a beauty parlour, she meets Rita Bradford who apparently is also married to Joe Bradford and lives at the same address. Joe Bradford is preparing for a business meeting in San Diego. He makes plans to meet his wife Martha but fails to show up. Joe Bradford is found dead on his boat the next morning and Martha Bradford is accused of his murder when her fingerprints are found on a candle located on the boat.

Mason defiende a una mujer acusada de asesinar a su esposo, pero queda desconcertado cuando otra mujer aparece y afirma ser la viuda del difunto.
