Perfect Youth

It's the 1960s: in order to reduce the hazards of sandstorms, the Central Commitee of the Party and the State Council designate the Forestry Department, alongside Hebei Province, to establish a man-made forest on the plateau desert of Saihanba to prevent wind and sand and store water. The first generation of tree planters - such as Feng Cheng and Qin Xuemei - plants thousands of hectares of forest on the desert - a pioneering work of mankind to transform nature. For half a century, the people of Saihanba stay true their mission, overcoming unimaginable difficulties and creating the miracle of turning desert into oasis, and wasteland into forest, creating "the world's largest artificial forest". Feng Cheng and his comrades face ups and lows together; in work and life, they are considerate, caring and helpful towards each other. From the initial comradeship and sympathy, they gradually grow into friends and partners for life.
