Shoma wakes up in hospital with supposedly minor injuries, keeping quiet about what happened between him and Ringo from his siblings. As Ringo explains what happened to her diary to him, Natsume disguises herself as a nurse and kidnaps Shoma, demanding the other half of the diary from Kanba and Ringo in exchange for his life. Deciding the to leave the diary half with Ringo, Kanba goes to find Shoma, whilst Ringo is told to surrender the diary herself. After luring Kanba into a trap and kissing him, Natsume escapes but is confronted by another person in a penguin hat, whom Natsume identifies as Mario.
Shōma si risveglia in ospedale, l'incidente gli ha procurato solo delle contusioni. Ringo è accanto a lui per scusarsi di quanto è successo la sera prima quando Masako entra nella camera portando il pasto per Shōma nel quale ha messo un sonnifero.
目を覚ますと、晶馬は東鴎病院のベッドの上にいた。一晩中付き添っていた冠葉と陽毬から、軽い打撲で済んだものの、念のため検査入院することを告げられる。一方、陽毬たちと共にずっと付き添っていた苹果は、晶馬が事故に遭ったは自分のせいだから、晶馬に会う資格がないと廊下で佇んでいた。
