Ikari and Maniwa receive word of Taeko's attack from the previous episode. Masami is devastated by Taeko's amnesia as Ikari looks from the sideline since it happened in a different district. Ikari and Maniwa interrogate Kozuka again to make him confess that he is merely a copycat. They manage to get out of him that he only attacked Usshi and Hirukawa but Ikari tries to get a full confession. However, Maniwa soon discovers another connection between the victims; they all were under some kind of stress and were relieved after the attack. But, he soon figures out that Taeko was also emotionally stressed and finds out that Taeko was attacked about the same time that Tsukiko fainted, meaning that Lil' Slugger can be nowhere and everywhere and that he feeds on paranoia. He tells Ikari but gives him an application for leave and tells him to take a break. However, Maniwa still pushes and soon realizes that the next target is Kozuka.
Les agressions continuent malgré l'arrestation de Kozuka et l'inspecteur Ikari pense de plus en plus que Tsukiko n'a jamais était réellement agressée contrairement aux victimes suivantes. Quant à Maniwa, il commence à mener sa propre enquête...
Ikari and Maniwa vengono a sapere dell'aggressione di Taeko e si rendono conto che il ragazzo catturato in precedenza, Kozuka, è solo un mitomane imitatore. Il ragazzo, scoperto, cede all'enorme pressione e teme per il suo futuro. Nel frattempo Maniwa si rende conto che tutte le vittime di Shonen Bat sono accomunate da un forte stato paranoico nell'essere messi alle strette, senza via di fuga.
逮捕されたはずの少年バットが再び現れt。困惑のなか、最初ん犯行は月子の狂言で、それ以外の犯行は全て模倣犯．狐塚によるものと言い張る猪狩。自分が襲ったのは牛山と蛭川だけだと必死に訴える狐塚は、なおも執拗に尋問し続ける猪狩に徐々に追い込まれていく。一方、馬庭は、被害者の共通点が事件究明のカギを握るとして独自に捜査を進めるが…。
