Little Papoose, an Indian chief's son, watches his pal win a feather from the chief for doing a good deed. He must come up with an eagle's feather for his bonnet before he can become a brave. He knows where an eagle roosts, so he decides to go after his own. He tries to raid the eagle while it is on a nest, but fails. He constantly chases the eagle trying to get the feather. When he finally traps the eagle, he doesn't have the heart to steal the feather. The eagle feels sorry for him for trying, and he helps the papoose get a feather anyway. Litttle Papoose goes back to the tribe and wraps himself in a blanket with the eagle, its feather sticking out. He becomes an Indian brave.
