When Pamela and her team start from scratch to come up with a brand-new design plan for the Boathouse, the pressure starts to take a toll on designer Francesca, who worries she's getting in the way of Pamela's dreams. Meanwhile, the construction crew are creating a romantic garden space for Pamela, but are under strict orders not to disturb a single pumpkin in the process!
With the renovation of her sons Los Angeles home complete, Pamela focuses on the Roadhouse front yard, with big plans to put in an orchard, an English cottage garden, large evergreens for privacy, and a new brick pathway. Pamela also has a dream to open a pop-up flower and coffee shop in the Roadhouse, so she invests time and money in a trial run of her grand plan. After investing so much into the shop, will she consider what she and her team have created as a big success – or a huge failure?
Pamela embarks on a massive expansion of her cherished rose and vegetable garden that will see it grow to 15,000 square feet - the size of a city block! Her assistant Jonathan is put in charge of the project and is under pressure to deliver the garden of Pamela’s dreams in time for planting season. Jonathan’s stress increases when fencing jeopardizes some of Pamela’s beloved trees and the site plans are off the mark, delaying construction. While the work continues, Pamela, her mother Carol, and son Brandon visit some of the most beautiful gardens on Vancouver Island searching for inspiration.
Pamela wants to turn Arcady into a family sanctuary and, with help from her sons Brandon and Dylan, and Dylan’s girlfriend/designer Paula, they set to work planning out new cabins for the property that are inspired by the past and her grandmother’s original cottages, but with a modern flair. Paula and Pamela’s assistant Jonathan visit several Vancouver Island estates seeking design inspiration for the new builds – but some of the homes they visit don’t meet their high expectations. After years of waiting, Pamela finally gets news from the government on whether she can buy back the government land the boathouse sits on and begin renovations, or if she will be forced to tear it down.
