Raiko and her fellows are finally approaching Chinzei, the land of Shuten Doji, leader of the Kumaso clan. They bend their steps through the heart of enemy territory and towards their final destination, the Kumaso's fortress. But once in front of this unusual system of buildings and fortifications, they are welcomed by a giant fireball launched from inside the walls.
残る火の勾玉を求めて熊襲の地に足を踏み入れる光たちは、新たに仲間になった怪力の少年、金太郎をともない、ついに、酒呑童子率いる熊襲の居城に到着する。
密かに一計を案じ城内に潜入した光たちは、そこで一人の不思議な風貌の男と出会う。しかしその男の瞳は、なぜか悲しげであった。
