    Midland is a city in and the county seat of Midland County, Texas, United States, on the Southern Plains of the state's western area. At the 2010 census, the population of Midland was 111,147, and a 2011 estimate of 113,931, making it the twenty-eighth most populous city in the state of Texas. Due to the oil boom in Midland, certain officials have estimated the population to be hovering around 155,000 to 165,000. The Midland metropolitan area's, composed of Midland County, population grew 4.6 percent to 151,662 between July 1, 2011, and July 1, 2012, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. People in Midland are called Midlanders.

    Montrose is an area located in west-central Houston, Texas, United States and is one of the city's major cultural areas. Montrose and the larger Neartown area is considered one of the eccentric and demographically diverse areas of Houston. In recent decades, the area hosts a significant community of young adults, LGTB, punk rockers, artists, as well as a vibrant thrift, vintage, and second-hand shopping area.

    Downtown Dallas is the Central Business District (CBD) in Dallas, Texas USA, located in the geographic center of the city. The strong organic growth of Downtown Dallas since the early 2000s and continuing into the present has now resulted in the expansion of the term "Downtown" to include the explosive growth occurring immediately north of the Woodall Rodgers Freeway in the Victory Park and Uptown/Turtle Creek Districts as well as past Central Expressway to the east in the Deep Ellum and Bryan Place Districts, past Interstate 30 to the south with the Cedars District, and jumping over Interstate 35E to the west to include the Design District and Lower Oak Lawn. In total there are 15 districts that now form the definition of "Downtown".

    The Fort Worth neighborhood of Lake Como is an island. Located in the predominantly affluent west side of Fort Worth, this community has been home to generations of African Americans. Many of the early residents moved here to work in the surrounding neighborhoods as domestic laborers.

    This square mile is located in Kennard, Texas in the middle of the Davy Crocket National Forest in deep East Texas. It is home to 275 people. Largely dependent on the surrounding timber, Kennard is home to loggers, haulers, and small sawmills. The town’s largest employer is the school. Kennard has a diner, a donut shop, two gas stations, a bank, and a post office. The closest full size grocery store is 16 miles away in nearby Crockett, Texas.

  • SPECIAL 0x3 AUSTIN

    There are 271 square miles in Austin, Texas. Each one tells a different story. This square mile encompasses the northwestern edge of south central Austin and includes a portion of the Colorado River known as Lady Bird Lake and the Bouldin Creek and Zilker neighborhoods.
