Kitty Fogarty and Grainne McFadden discover that they have been infected by a contaminated Anti-D injection years before.
Kitty is tested at the Blood Bank in Dublin. In Donegal, Grainne goes to her GP to be screened.
The Positive Action group appoints solicitors as they want a health package for all infected women, an investigation into the cause of the infection, and an admission of liability and compensation. Kitty and Monica have to face how their condition is affecting their families.
The government keeps up the pressure. Grainne is refused leave to remain anonymous in court and warned that if she loses the case, costs will be sought. But then Positive Action find proof that the BTSB knew of the contaminated blood and sanctioned a cover-up.
