The aspirants choose their initial leader and encounter a challenge at a river canyon.
In this episode's first challenge, half of the trekkers must search for a dry bag on an island. The leader divides them up into three two-person teams to accomplish the task. Later in the program, one member of the group collapses while on a fishing boat in the waters off of Lennard Island.
The trekkers are divided into two teams as they paddle for five miles in separate canoes toward the Uchuck, a 136-foot World War II minesweeper. Along the way, the boaters must capture three flags to win a group reward.
The participants compete in a kayaking event on the Gold River that requires them to place colored rocks at different points (which are marked by flags) along the rapids. Later, the trekkers board a racing yacht and one member of the group voluntarily jumps overboard into freezing water as part of an event that requires the others to rescue the swimmer in less than eight minutes.
The competitors go fishing on a boat called the East Isle, and are given two hours to catch 500 salmon in order to win a group reward. Later, the trekkers return to the Pacific Ocean for the last time, where they find the kayaks they need for their next event locked together. They must dive into the waters to find submerged bottles that contain the combinations to the locks.
The remaining trekkers climb Tullin Mountain in the Coastal Mountain Range of British Columbia with no trail to guide them. They each must keep a hand on the same rope along the way in order to win the group reward. On another day, the trekkers participate in a cattle drive, and separate related cows and calves from the herd for individual prizes.
The participants mountain bike along a 16.5-mile course, then use a raft to transport themselves and their vehicles across the Chilko River to their next destination. Later, they travel down the Chilko on two rafts to retrieve blue and red cards stuck in the water.
The trekkers set out to retrieve eight flags placed on a cliff below a bridge that spans the Bulkley River. Both groups of four players must use their team's rope to rappel down toward the targets. Later, the contestants take a helicopter ride to the top of Treble Mountain, where they camp for the night.
The trekkers must find 27 marked items in an old abandoned mining access tunnel with only two flashlights among the seven players. Later, they attempt to complete a long-distance rafting event over fast-moving rivers.
The participants try to complete a 10k event with six mountain bikes staggered along the course, which requires the trekkers to run during the initial part of the challenge. Later, they must hike a 3000-foot mountain with llamas carrying their packs.
The trekkers must convert three regular canoes into sailing canoes using only a plain sheet of canvas, then they need to sail the boats across Tattoga Lake. Later, they attempt to replace five railway ties to get their hand-pumped rail carts across a finish line.
The group's leadership is challenged; reward event in the Carcross Desert.
A difficult climb up Tombstone Mountain; the group's final night together.
