تتناول الحلقة قصة حياة كارفاجيو الذى يعتبر واحد من أكثر الرسامين ثورية، وجرأته فى تحويل القداسة في الرسوم الدينية لشخصيات مثل السيدة العذراء والرُسل إلى واقعية صادمة، وإعادة تعريف الإيمان فى الفن، من خلال تجسيد الشخصيات بطريقة أقرب للواقع وتلقى الحلقة كذلك نظرة على العنف الذي ميز شخصياته وخلق صراعات عديدة وأعداء له في كل مكان وكيف انعكس ذلك على حياته وفنه
