التوحُّد

التوحد واحد من الأمراض المرتبطة بخرافات عِدة: هل مصاب التوحد عبقري أم مريض؟ هل التوحد سببه التربية؟ أو التطعيمات؟ أو الزئبق؟ أو الرصاص؟ هل التوحد مرض يصيب الأطفال فقط؟ وهل هناك علاج للتوحد؟ نحاول أن نرسم صورة موضوعية وأكثر تفصيلًا للتوحد، لأن ما لا نفهمه نُقصيه أو نرفضه، والمصابين بالتوحد وأُسرهم أفراد في هذا المجتمع، يعيشون فيه ويثرونه برؤيتهم الخاصة جدًا للعالم، ويستحقون الدعم، لكنهم يستحقون اختيار شكل هذا الدعم أيضًا، ويستحقون الحق في رفضه، إن أرادوا.

Autism is one of the diseases associated with several superstitions: Is autistic genius or sick? Is autism caused by raising? Or vaccinations? Or mercury? Or lead? Is autism a disease only affecting children? Is there a cure for autism? We try to paint an objective and more detailed picture of autism, autistic people and their families are individuals in this society, living in it and enriching it with their very own vision of the world, deserving of support, but they deserve to choose the form of such support as well, and deserve the right to reject it, if they want.
