While in the office, Yako finds a body cemented in a wall with a ponytail sticking out. Because of Neuro's demonic influence, the body regains "life" and is able to move only through her hair. Thus, Neuro hires the hair who calls herself as Akane, promising that someday she will eat the mystery of her murder as well. Later on, Yako goes with Kanae to a comedy show that was giving out free bentos so as to attract more people, where people start to die from laughing due to an unknown reason. Only a few manage to survive, including Yako and Kanae. The police, Sasazuka, Ishigaki and Neuro later show up, and with the help of Akane, Neuro discovers that the criminal was the man in charge of the lights, an ex-comedian, killing everyone by freezing poison in the roof and dripping into everybody's bentos for the sake of a "killer joke". He shoots at Neuro with Ishigaki's gun due to his claim that he was no comedian, yet he manages to survive and eats his mystery. Yako watches from far how the culprit is being arrested, and longs for the day Neuro will solve the mystery of her father's murder.
事務所の壁に塗り込められている死体のあかねがネウロらの新しい仲間になった。一方、弥子は叶絵に誘われ、話題の芸人・満腹太郎のお弁当付きライブに行った。ネウロは、そのライブには何やら『謎』の臭いを感じていた。
ライブ会場の入口では、広告通り、来場者全員に弥子も知っている『まんぷく亭』の弁当が配られた。『まんぷく亭』が満腹太郎の実家だと知った弥子は、すぐさまもらったばかりの弁当を平らげ、叶絵の分までもらう。満腹太郎のネタ作りは、全て、元お笑い芸人で現在太郎の照明スタッフをしている堂々ワタルという男が手掛けていると叶絵が教えてくれた。その堂々の不気味な顔を偶然見た弥子は、思わず身を固くする。
弥子が叶絵の分の弁当を食べ終えると、満腹太郎のお笑いライブが始まった。幕が上がると、色とりどりの照明やレーザー光線が飛び交い、ライブを盛り上げる。弁当を食べながら狂ったように笑う観客たち。ところが、その観客の何人かが突然倒れ込み、あちこちから悲鳴が上がったため、ライブは急きょ中止になった。そして、救急車が到着し、死者が出る騒ぎになった。
現場の調査を行った笹塚と石垣は、死因が配られた弁当による食中毒と発表。関係者から事情を聞いた笹塚たちは、満腹太郎の両親がライブを盛り上げるため、弁当の中にワライダケを入れたことを突き止めた。
だが、ネウロはワライダケに人を死なせる程の毒性がないという。被害者がライブの開演後に毒を盛られたと推理。つまり、犯人は照明ブースから一歩も外に出なかった堂々だト推理したネウロは、その手口を明かして――。
Mientras está en la oficina, Yako encuentra un cuerpo cementado en una pared con una cola de caballo que sobresale. Debido a la influencia demoníaca de Neuro, el cuerpo recupera la "vida" y puede moverse solo a través de su cabello. Por lo tanto, Neuro contrata el cabello que se llama a sí misma como Akane, prometiendo que algún día ella también se comerá el misterio de su asesinato. Más tarde, Yako va con Kanae a un programa de comedia que ofrecía bentos gratuitos para atraer a más personas, donde las personas comienzan a morir de risa debido a una razón desconocida. Sólo unos pocos logran sobrevivir, incluidos Yako y Kanae. La policía, Sasazuka, Ishigaki y Neuro aparecen más tarde, y con la ayuda de Akane, Neuro descubre que el criminal era el hombre a cargo de las luces, un ex-comediante, que mató a todos al congelar veneno en el techo y gotear en todo el mundo. Bentos por el bien de una "broma asesina". Dispara a Neuro con el arma de Ishigaki debido a su afirmación de que no era un comediante, pero logra sobrevivir y se come su misterio. Yako observa desde lejos cómo se arresta al culpable, y anhela el día en que Neuro resuelva el misterio del asesinato de su padre.
