Richardson, known professionally as "The Big Bopper" (28), and the pilot, Roger Peterson (21), were killed in a plane crash on February 3rd, 1959. With no witnesses and no survivors, no one currently knows what exactly caused the crash. By compiling evidence, many theories have been inferred about what happened that fateful night.
