เมื่อความรักผูกพัน ทับซ้อนกันระหว่างคนกับวิญญาณ อดีตกับปัจจุบัน เรื่องวุ่นชวนขวัญกระเจิงกลางกองถ่ายก็เกิดขึ้น เมื่อวิษณุ นำเอาตำนานของหมู่บ้านบางบาปมาทำเป็นละคร ซึ่งตามตำนานเล่าว่า พระวนาเทพ และ คุณกำไล ได้พาครอบครัวพร้อมด้วยข้าทาสบริวารมาอยู่ที่นี่ มีนางทาสคนหนึ่งชื่อ นางหยาด ที่ใช้ความสวยยั่วพระวนาเทพจนได้เป็นเมียอีกคนหนึ่ง แต่ด้วยความอยากที่จะเป็นเมียเอก นางหยาดจึงวางยาพิษฆ่าคุณกำไลและลูกๆ เมื่อความจริงถูกเปิดเผยนางหยาดโดนแขวนคอ
