峠の茶屋に盗賊一味が立てこもり、茶屋の女が人質に取られる。紋次郎に女の救助を頼む男。女の名が亡き姉と同じだったため、紋次郎の心は動く。しかし男の正体は盗賊の頭で、何者かに殺害される。巻き添えで怪我した女が紋次郎を止めるが…。
At a mountain tea house, a band of thieves takes a woman hostage. A man begs Monjirō to save her, stirring his emotions when he learns the woman shares the same name as his late sister. But the man’s true identity as the thieves’ leader complicates the rescue, leading to unforeseen betrayal and violence.
