Sonja is getting married to Kimi. During the wedding preparations, Kimi has a sudden attack of illness. Sonja drives him to the hospital, but on the way, she has an accident and Kimi dies in hospital. Sonja is in shock. She is certain that she has caused Kimi's death, until his autopsy report and Inspector Tuomo Alatalo's investigation show that his death was a suicide. Kimi had taken a drug overdose. Once she gets over the worst of her shock, Sonja starts to take care of practical matters related to Kimi's death. She discovers that Kimi had been lying to her from the day they first met.
