تدور أحداث القصة حول أبو إبراهيم الذي يحترق بيته ويفقد كل أهله، ونتيجة هذا الحادث، يدخل أبو إبراهيم في مرحلة انفصام في الشخصية وألم شديد لشعوره بالذنب أنه المسبب لما حدث، تتغير معاملته لجيرانه من حوله بعد هذه التغيرات المختلفة التي طرأت على حياته.
