Milly and Molly discover a nest with three eggs in it. But when one of the eggs is destroyed, Milly and Molly immediately suspect Humphrey who is the most obvious culprit. The two girls are especially concerned about what Humphrey might do when the chicks hatch. When however, the nest is under threat by a large storm Humphrey becomes the unexpected saviour.
