Amos and his nephew Squeaky propose Colonel Mulford, a crooked carnival owner, to pay Dr. Calvin Campbell a lease for his land to put up a country fair. Amos knows that it is an illegal practice to lease the land for such purpose. Dr. Stacy is needing the money, so he falls easily in the scheme.
