Season 1

  • S01E01 Episode 1 - Melville Island

    Mark drops by lucky winner Joe Sandor’s workplace and surprises him with an offer to go on the trip of a lifetime to Clearwater Lodge on Melville Island in the Northern Territory. Mark selected this location due to its incredible beauty and spectacular fishing action. Joe’s challenge, in order to win the fishing gear, is to capture 15 different species of fish.

  • S01E02 Episode 2 - Melville Island

    Joe and Mark’s trip to Clearwater Lodge on Melville Island in the Northern Territory continues. Joe has managed to capture barramundi, a threadfin salmon and a black jewfish. Will he catch enough species to win the fishing prize?

  • S01E03 Episode 3 - Cape York, QLD

    Mark and Daniel Morin travel to Cape York in Far North Queensland to chase the schooling long tail tuna that flock to this area by the thousands. When Daniel is called to the principal’s office at the Sydney catholic school where he works Mark is waiting to offer him the trip of a lifetime. Daniel’s challenge is to catch a long tail tuna over 7kg on a 10 pound fishing line.

  • S01E04 Episode 4 - Cape York, QLD

    The trip continues for Mark and Daniel in far north Queensland as they chase the schooling long tail tuna that flock to the area. Daniel’s challenge to capture the 7kg fish is tough with 30knott winds and very few tuna in sight. Luckily, patience finally pays off when they find huge schools of mackerel tuna in a feeding frenzy.

    Wayne Starr gets the opportunity of a lifetime when Mark drops in on his family BBQ to offer him a trip to Cape Don in the Northern Territory. Wayne hopes to win the fishing gear by catching 15 different species of fish, and Cape Don is a fantastic location to achieve this.

    Jeremy Carr was at one point a homeless kid on the streets of Wollongong but has shown incredible strength to turn his life around. Mark surprises him at a football BBQ organised by his best mates and offers him the trip of a lifetime. Jeremy and Mark travel to Whyalla in South Australia to search for some of the best snapper fishing in the country. Jeremy’s challenge is to catch a snapper over 10kg to win $5000 worth of fishing gear.

  • S01E08 Episode 8 - Whyalla, SA

    Mark’s fishing trip to Whyalla in South Australia continues with fishing enthusiast Jeremy, who is desperately trying to complete Mark’s challenge and land a 10kg snapper. While searching for his prize fish, Jeremy is amazed when he gets the opportunity to hand feed wild dolphins in Whyalla Harbour.

  • S01E09 Episode 9 - broome, wa

    When Mark surprises 11 year-old Harry Scanlin at his uncle’s home in Sydney he becomes the youngest person to go on the fishing adventure. Along with his dad Justin, Harry travels to Broome in Western Australia to take up the challenge of a lifetime. If Harry can catch 15 different species of fish he will receive $5000 worth of fishing gear.

    With whales breaching all around us and amazingly calm conditions, the fishing in Broome was red hot. We had majestic sailfish all around the boat at one stage with thousands of Dolphins chasing schools of bait. From the deep blue we ventured in the creeks where Harry caught some outstanding fish. It was a great experience watching father and son having such a great time together out on the water.

  • S01E11 Episode 11 - The Escape River, Far North QLD

    While shopping in his local tackle store we surprised John Figuero with a trip to a very remote place in Queensland. After a nervous phone call to his wife we packed his bags and jumped on a plane. The Escape River is a very remote destination that very few people ever venture. The Escape offers the angler various species of fish that you would normally only find on deep reefs.

  • S01E12 Episode 12 - The Escape River, Far North QLD

    With 30knott winds and heavy rain this was nothing short of a challenge. One thing we can’t control is Mother Nature and she turned up in force making for a very wet yet funny adventure. You just never know what can happen in these remote locations with plenty of Sharks making life hard and a Black Jew fish we will never forget.

Season 2

  • S02E01 Gove, NT

    This week we surprised Pete Bottele from Fairy Meadow in NSW with a fishing adventure to Gove in the Northern Territory. It’s a very emotional episode as Pete lost his wife Tess to illness only months earlier. With his passion for fishing reignited Pete fishes in the pristine waters surrounding a beautiful remote island 100km from shore. This is one episode that demonstrates how fishing can be a way of life and an escape for many people. With big Spanish mackerel and several other magnificent species on show this is a place that Pete will never forget.

    Our lucky winner this week is thirteen year old Travis and his Dad Royce from Helensburg in NSW. These guys were blown away when Mark announced that they had won a trip to Tairua in the North Island of New Zealand fishing for Snapper and huge King Fish. What a trip this was with young Travis almost being pulled over the side of the boat several times by big powerful King fish. It’s a nail bitting last minute effort for Travis and his Dad chasing the $5000 challenge with some very close calls on some great Snapper. Its father and son side by side on a very special trip to one of the best fishing grounds in New Zealand.

  • S02E04 Finnis River

    Our winner this week was enjoying a nice lunch with his wife in a cafe in Castle Hill, Sydney when the Fishing addiction team came to visit. Savas Porouti was surprised with a fishing adventure to the Finnis River in the Northern Territory. With 10 species to chase including a Sailfish to win the $5000 challenge Savas had a big job in front of him. Lucky for Savas the fishing was red hot with some incredible action for all.

  • S02E05 Coral Sea Part 1

    art 1.This week we are in Newcastle surprising Ryan Hodson at the Williamtown air force base. Ryan is an aircraft technician and works on fighter planes. Mark gets up close to some of these incredible aircraft before our winner is whisked away on an amazing trip to the Coral Sea off the Queensland coast. The guys are flown by sea plane to the Nomad mother ship 200 miles out to sea for a week of the most remarkable fishing Mark has ever seen in all his travels. The boys do battle with Giant Trevally up to 50kg in breathtaking surrounds and perfect conditions. They also encounter a monster Queensland Groper that gives them the surprise of their lives

  • S02E06 Coral Sea Part 2

    Part 2. Continuing on from episode 2 Mark and this week’s winner Ryan travel to the Coral Sea off the Queensland coast to chase Giant Trevally. With some of the best GT fishing ever captured on film the boys do battle with these powerful fish in untouched waters. With amazing surface strikes and screaming reels this truly is the pinnacle of sport fishing in Australia. Ryan has the $5000 challenge to chase but is completely distracted by the plague proportions of Giant Trevally surrounding the boat. This is an adventure not to be missed.

    During a family barbeque the fishing Addiction team came knocking at the home of Nathan Harriman in Mt Ousley in NSW. Nathan was surprised with a trip to Albany Island at Cape York in far North Queensland. Despite some adverse weather the fishing action was incredible with a Queenfish session that needs to be seen to be believed. It’s nonstop action in a fishing paradise.

  • S02E08 Mini Mini River, NT

    In this episode Mark Surprises school teacher Steve Walton from Hayward’s Bay in NSW with a trip to the Northern Territory. The guys hooked up with Cannon charters and fish the Mini Mini river system in search of the mighty Barramundi. Fishing in untouched creeks they do battle with some incredible fish as Steve lands his first ever Barra and chases the $5000 challenge. Mark also tangles with a saltwater crocodile that needed some delicate handling.

  • S02E09 Portland, Victoria

    On this week’s episode we surprised plumber Keith Blackett from the Gold Coast in Queensland with a very unique trip to Portland in Victoria chasing the mighty Southern Blue Fin Tuna. On this episode over 40 boats were fishing the same grounds all hoping to hook up to one of these massive beasts. With fish well over 100kg on offer this is one challenge that our winner would never forget as these fish are literally a once in a life time proposition. Another nail bitting episode that could very easily end in disaster for our winner.

    This episode looks back at all the incredible action from season 2 of Fishing Addiction. From Marlin and Sailfish to Monster Tuna and Giant Trevally, this has been an amazing series. With anglers from all over Australia experiencing fishing adventures they could only dream of. Mark takes his winners to some of the best fishing destinations available in the world with some fantastic adventures
