Amusing - is perhaps the first word that comes to your mind when you read Mannphodganj Ki Binny. Written by Amitosh Nagpal and directed by Vikas Chandra, the ten-part web series stars Pranati Rai Prakash in the titular lead as Binny Bajpai. Binny is not your girl-next-door. Hailing from Mannphodganj in Allahabad, Binny is everything people in Mannphodganj cannot imagine! She is street smart, she is quirky, she only marches to the beat of her own drums and she is not the one to challenge.
There is no challenge that Mannphodganj ki Binny cannot accomplish. She succeeds in becoming friends with MLA Raghuvendra Pandey’s son Rahul Pandey. They both even take part in a college task together and complete it successfully. Soon, Binny finds herself getting attracted to Rahul while he enjoys her company too. But someone somewhere is not happy seeing Binny have a gala time with her dream man. Will he cause trouble in her paradise?
Binny is falling head over heels for Rahul, the handsome hunk she has been swooning over and cannot get enough of. Binny tells her friend about all that is ensuing in the budding romance between them. The friend ends up issuing a warning to Binny about her fastrack romance and the events following it. Brushing it aside, Binny continues to hang out with Rahul, spending quality time with her beau. She soon progresses from 0 to 100 in a jiffy. But does Rahul reciprocate her feelings and agree with the instant development?
Mannphodganj Ki Binny episode four begins with Rahul’s father Raghuvendra Pandey landing in a serious soup. He is all over the news because of a misdeed that now threatens his hold as an MLA in Allahabad. Binny comes to know about the fiasco and assumes it could be the reason Rahul got angry at her at the party. However, he doesn’t entertain her attempts to get in touch or reaches out to her himself. Raja, too, finds out what happened with MLA Pandey and gets excited as now Rahul too will no longer enjoy the same status. Raja writes a letter to his mother informing her about Binny. Brajesh asks him to come meet him over tea for some discussion. Binny keeps waiting for Rahul but he doesn’t answer her texts. She later seems on the news that Rahul and his father Raghuvendra have left the city. Will Binny’s love story remain unfinished? How will she deal with this situation?
A week after Rahul and his father fled from Allahabad, Binny is upset to not hear from him. Reluctantly, she agrees to meet the NRI boy her parents have shortlisted for her. Binny, Kumud and Brajesh travel to Lucknow to meet the boy and his family. Binny still pins her hopes to Rahul, hoping he would reach out to her at some point. She keeps texting him, desperate to get a response but all in vain. Her friend tells her to not be disappointed and explore the opportunity that’s coming her way. Will she like the boy she is about to meet in Lucknow?
Binny, Kumud and Brajesh return to Allahabad. Kumud and Brajesh have an argument over Harsh and Tarun. Kumud likes Harsh for Binny while Brajesh likes the latter. Binny intervenes and says why can’t she try them all and then decide. Kumud turns down her idea and blames Brajesh for spoiling Binny silly. Kumud argues Harsh would them all on a world tour while Brajesh says Tarun is a government employee and would help them get freebies for life. Who do you think will Binny choose - Harsh or Tarun or Raja?
Raja turns down Brajesh’s proposal of joining his lingerie business. Brajesh then asks who Alka is, for whom he is doing everything under the sun. Raja then notifies Brajesh that Alka is none other than his daughter Binny. Brajesh asks if he’d like to marry the love of his life Alka. Raja and Alka get married in the next scene, in a traditional ceremony. As Raja goes to kiss his bride Alka...alas! It was just a dream. Raja receives bad news that leaves him shaken. What will he do to be with his ladylove Alka aka Binny?
Guess who enters Binny’s life? Rahul Pandey. After disappearing on her without any intimation, Rahul makes a comeback in her life. He contacts her and expresses he was depressed after his father’s MMS leak. Rahul tells Binny he misses her a lot and apologises for not being in touch. Binny’s friend Manjul scolds her for contacting Rahul. She warns her to not be with Rahul and stop making a fool out of herself. Rahul asks Binny to come down to Delhi and meet him. Manjul warns Binny to not do something like this as he might betray her. But will she agree?
Kumud, Brajesh and Raja are extremely worried about Binny going to Delhi. Kumud gets anxious and blames Brajesh for pampering Binny so much. Brajesh asks her to remain calm and not lose her mind. He asks her what needs to be done next so that they can protect Binny. Kumud asks Brajesh to go to Delhi and bring Binny back. Raja agrees to go in his place since he cannot, and promises him to get Binny back home to Allahabad safely. Kumud too wishes him all the luck and hopes he is successful in his quest. What will happen next? Will Raja be able to take Binny back home? Will Binny and Rahul reunite?
Raja safely brings Binny home. Kumud and Brajesh are heartbroken and feel ashamed of what Binny did. She apologises to them profusely. She tells them that what’s done is done. Kumud asks Binny if she ever got physical with Rahul or not. She wants to know if Binny is a virgin or not. Brajesh asks Binny that it matters because if anything goes wrong, it is them, her parents, who would prepare to protect her from it. They worry about the news of Binny eloping to Delhi reaching either Dubey or Chaubey. Will Harsh now agree to marry Binny? Will he accept Binny with her past?
