Ed and his crew struggle to produce enough new products for the annual Transworld tradeshow, the premiere outlet for selling monsters in the Haunt Industry.
The Distortion Unlimited crew is thrilled to be working on several giant custom stage props for Alice Cooper's upcoming world tour, but quickly find out that the rock world is very different from the haunt world. Not only is Ed worried about finishing in time, but because of a previous project's outcome, he's afraid Alice might not like what they've built. They are also rushing to build and deliver 500 'Grandma' and 'Grandpa' Frightronics for the world's largest costume wholesaler, Morris Costumes in Charlotte, North Carolina. Morris orders thousands of motorized Frightronics from Distortions so the team must finish this order on time or risk losing their biggest client. Somehow, Ed and Marsha must also find time to attend a huge sales convention called Monsterpalooza with Jordu in Los Angeles, CA, where they'll find out if the industry is still interested in a classic line of Distortions monster masks.
The Distortion Unlimited crew is excited to be working on a big installation for the UFO Museum in Roswell, NM. They'll be crafting four aliens and a mechanized flying saucer set in a 'landscape' of their creation. Jordu comes to Greeley to create the perfect 'grey alien' creature for the project. Also on his list is constructing a mask for shock performer 'the Enigma,' who comes to Greeley to have Jordu do a life cast. This casting process will give an exact likeness of the Enigma that Jordu will use as a mold to produce Halloween masks that look exactly like this very unique individual. They can only hope the Enigma doesn't have any issues with claustrophobia since dental alginate will be poured all over his face and will need to set for several minutes. Some find this difficult to handle and freak out.Things start to unravel as the spaceship for the Roswell install doesn't go well. Mike and Ryan struggle with the pie shaped pieces that are not fitting together properly. Of course they finally get them together, albeit in a bit of a ragged edged way. The alien bodies are being sculpted but, as always, the Distortions team is under the gun trying to get the visitors from outer space finished in time for their trip to Roswell.Jordu also has a surprise assignment "in his spare time" to sculpt three examples of pointed ears for Ed, who has been contemplating having plastic surgery for years, but not before speaking to Marsha about Ed's strange desire. Jordu and Marsha both agree that Ed should drop this crazy idea.
Haunted Houses in October are gearing up for their biggest month and that means orders are pouring into Distortions. The busy team must tackle creating and building custom rooms for two top-rated haunt attractions. Longtime client Bennett's Curse in Baltimore wants a complete room that includes a brand new giant 10-foot demon. Meanwhile, new client Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia is looking for a shocking grand finale for their famous haunted house to celebrate their twentieth anniversary. The Distortions crew has to work overtime to finish these huge orders on time in the exact same week. As if that's not enough, they're also working on hundreds of animatronics, frightronics and props to fill a fifty-three foot truck for Morris Costumes for Halloween. Will they get everything finished on time?
