يتحدث العمل عن ثلاث شرائح في المجتمع وهى الشريحة العليا التي تملك المال والنفوذ، والشريحة الأصلية التي تعيش في بيوت دمشقية تقيم فيها عدة أسر، وشريحة العشوائيات، وعلى الرغم من الاختلاف الظاهر بين هذه الشرائح إلا أن هناك عدة قواسم مشتركة بينهم يبرزها العمل من خلال طرحه لعدة أسئلة.
