Maryann is sick of being single and wants to find a boyfriend. Richard goes to Iain's poetry group hoping to impress Iain. Richard fails, with his crappy haiku poem. Ben uis upset Maryann didn't tell him that she wants a boyfriend, yet she told Clare. Ben decides to find Maryann a boyfriend to prove he's a better friend then Clare. Richard sets out to prove he can write a great poem. He discovers that Phil is an amazing writer and gets him to write a great poem for him, so he can impress Iain. Ben shows John the poem Phil wrote and says Maryann wrote it for him. Maryann finds out Ben showed John the poem. Maryann tells Ben that she isn't interested in John and tells him to stop inteffering in her life. Ben tells John that Maryann doesn't like him. Iain is impresses with Richard's poem, that Phil wrote. Richard beg's Phil to write another poem, and Phil is so annoyed, he writes a old song, that Richard doesn't recognise.
