Крым, Севастополь, октябрь 1920 года. Во время церковного праздника происходит покушение на барона Врангеля. Барон остается жив, а один из нападавших захвачен начальником контрразведки Гаевым. Свидетелями происшествия становятся Эль Феррари — красная шпионка, работающая под легендой итальянской поэтессы, и завербованный британской разведкой немец Макс Эрмлер. И Феррари, и Эрмлер охотятся за координатами стоянок подводных лодок Врангеля, которые большевики хотят захватить, а британцы — уничтожить. Crimea, Sevastopol, October 1920. During a church holiday, an attempt on the life of Baron Wrangel takes place. The baron remains alive, and one of the attackers is captured by the head of counterintelligence Gaev. The incident is witnessed by El Ferrari, a red spy working under the legend of the Italian poet, and Max Ermler, a German recruited by British intelligence. Both Ferrari and Ermler are hunting for the coordinates of the Wrangel submarine sites, which the Bolsheviks want to seize and the British want to destroy.
