事件はある夜、突然起こった。善波七五十（ぜんば ないと）率いる『輪蛇（りんだ）』のメンバーが謎の一団に次々と襲撃されたのだ。犯行は、いずれもメンバーが一人でいる所を狙った計画的なものだった。その一方『輪蛇』の新入りメンバー・春間の前に、中学時代の友人・天野が現れる。思い出話もそこそこに、春間に『輪蛇』の内情を尋ねる天野。実は天野は『輪蛇』に敵対するグループ『夜行蟲（やこうちゅう）』の一員であった。一連の事件は『夜行蟲』副総長・知地岩（ちじいわ）の仕業だったのだ。徐々にエスカレートしていく『夜行蟲』の襲撃。そして遂に、天野の魔の手が春間の友人・小梅にまで伸びる…！
