Aspiring documentary filmmaker Mike Sylvan (Zach Pruett) forces himself into the life of aspiring actor Jordan Ross. Mike films Jordan's life, and they hold a party for the successful documentary that they haven't made yet. Mike discovers Jordan's disgusting eating habits, and tries to end his problem.
Jordan and Mike go on a date with girls who are unimpressed by them. They vow to win them back by becoming more athletic. They try out several sports, leading up to a basketball showdown against two wannabe gangsters (Daniel Lawrence and Jake Kovacs), while being watched by a judgmental audience (Trent Scifres, Bryce Flory, and Justin Benjamin). (Ryan Cage also has a brief cameo).
Jordan joins an acting class, where he is introduced to Mr. Sycamore (an eccentric acting teacher), Wendy (a sweet girl who recognizes Jordan from West Side Story), and Brooke (an acting know-it-all who's been on TV and Broadway). He makes new friends and starts a class rivalry with Brooke. Meanwhile, Mike believes Jordan may be in a cult, and he and Summer try to figure out what's going on.
Six months after turning the documentary cameras off, Mike and Jordan, along with some special guests, come out of their silence to give an update on where life has taken them.
