同母異父的姊妹凱琪和宜娟，在父母車禍死亡後便相依為命，兩人在性格和人生道路上走向了不同道路。當宜娟和身為建築師的丈夫大偉結婚，滿心期待自己生命裡的第一個小孩時，因為慣性自殘與精神疾病，療養甚久的凱琪也出院了，將要迎接嶄新生活。看似就要好轉的人生，卻在姊妹重逢後急轉直下，宜娟流產且凱琪莫名失蹤。面對這接連而來的噩耗與打擊，宜娟一路探查，希望能找出謎底的解答，與此同時，兇惡的鬼魅也向她襲來，逼使她須與時間賽跑，同時見證到人性的善與惡，如何反覆辯證…
