3月のある日、井川迅（17）が、春休みを利用し名古屋から単身赴任中の父親を訪ね遊びに来る。しかし、プロカメラマンの父は、突然入った仕事のため出張に行くことになる。時間を持て余し浜辺を散歩する、迅。すると、ケンカをするサーファー男性とその彼女に出くわし、彼女を追いかける彼氏から無理やりサーフボードを預けられることに。困り果て、空を飛ぶトビたちを見ていた迅は、足を踏み外し海に転落してしまう。ずぶ濡れになり海から上がったそこに現れたのが、熊切家のひとり娘：千歌だった。
