Meet Tatiana Johnson in this exclusive Warren Academy yearbook interview.
Meet Preston. When he’s not busy leading the student body at Warren Academy as class president or debating foreign policy, he’s steering clear of the drama with his own first lady, Tatiana by his side. #Prestiana
Meet Charlie. Charlie is a self defined "lone wolf" and enjoys her alone time. She's super creative, which is why she spends her free time focused on her music. She loves expressing herself and proudly showcases her individuality through her hair styles.
Meet Tess. If any drama happens at Warren Academy, Tess is the first to cover it. She runs a popular blog that spills the tea on what's happening inside and outside of school.
Meet JR. JR knows how to have fun. Whether it's shooting hoops or throwing the best house party, he's always down for a good time. He seems to have an idea of where Emma might be...
Meet Olivia. She leads a picture perfect life and makes sure to showcase it on social media. As Tatiana's sidekick, Olivia is focused on maintaining her popularity. She's a part of the Yearbook Club staff and also the Drama Club, where she plans on landing the lead role in the upcoming play. If you're on campus at Warren Academy, you'll likely see her trying to snap that perfect selfie.
Meet Jake. He's considered the hottie at Warren Academy... and he knows it. He spends his summers surfing, skating, hanging with his friends, and avoiding drama. Drama seems to follow him though, since rumor has it he's dating two girls at the same time.
Meet Alex. He is friends with practically everybody at Warren Academy. He expresses himself best through his art, which is why this is the perfect school for him. He spends his free time painting and enjoys showcasing his work at his art shows. Now that Principal Lee has given him the green light, Alex plans to paint an epic mural for the school.
I know I'm being called "First Base Jake" or whatever and you're all wondering if it's true. I won't talk about my personal life, but I will say that it wasn't me on the roof that night.
Jake didn't ask to be called "The Player," he was just given that label. I just want to ask, why do we feel the need to put labels on everyone?
You're all wondering who posted the diary...but I know who did it. It was Emma. Think about it, the more drama she creates the more content she has for her new song. MAKES SENSE. We're onto you Emma.
I love how you all think I stole Emma's diary, but it wasn't me. Have you noticed Charlie's been getting A LOT closer to Jake? We all know she's been in love with him since forever. Hmmmm....
Alex, you had everyone fooled, MYSELF included. You go around telling everybody else to be nice to each other, to spread positivity and to tell the truth, and then you go and do THIS? Can you say hypocrite?
I'm not going to deny it. I catfished Tess with Emma... and I am really sorry. But I did NOT steal Emma's diary.
Alex is my boy, I've known him forever. He's a good guy and has had my back on more than one occasion. So he made a mistake, who hasn't? I know WAY more people at this school have done way worse. Give him a break.
Early Scholarship Submission Rough Draft Version 2
I know this will sound crazy, but Principal Lee stole Emma's Diary. Think about it, she's the last person you'd think would do it. She wants more publicity for the school so she can get more donors interested. I know she plotted this whole thing. Wow... I'm onto you Principal Lee!
Come on guys... Alex definitely did NOT steal Emma's diary. Everybody knows how close they were before she left. If we're really looking to figure out who did this, you should focus on someone who had something to gain...
GUYS OMG. I caught Jake and Preston's parking lot fight on video!!! You need to watch this. What could they possibly be fighting about? Let me know your thoughts below!
There's so much going on right now, so let's just all take a collective deep breath and remind ourselves why we're at Warren Academy. As cheesy as it sounds, we're here to learn how to be model citizens and practice empathy. Instead of judging each other, which got us into this mess in the first place, why don't we try to understand each other?
I need to make something very clear. I have NEVER cheated on a test in any class at Warren Academy. I am a model student and would never tarnish my family's reputation. I just needed to set the record straight.
Early Scholarship Submission Rough Draft Version 3
Remember the guy Emma cheated on me with? I know who it was. I’m not going to actually call you out here on this vlog… but you know who you are. If you’re watching, I suggest you tell your girlfriend ASAP. Or I will.
It's my birthday tomorrow!!! I'll take any excuse to let loose and forget about all this Emma drama. My parents are in Europe so you know what that means... party at my house! But, only if you were invited of course! I mean it. Security will be there.
OMG Tatiana I am SO sorry I am missing your birthday party. I promise I'll make it up to you!
I don't want to talk about what happened at my birthday party, but I feel like I have to. Yes, fine. I was almost held back. And Preston... how could you? This is all I have to say to you. And Alex, you knew about it this whole time? You both were the people I trusted the most and I can't believe you could do this to me. And, I really want to know who sent me the cake. Charlie was the only one not invited to my party so...
WOW the tea this week is too good!!! Emma let the entire school know Tatiana was failing school by sending her a cake at her invite only party. Emma... you are SO savage! So, whose secrets will be dropped next? Comment your theories below!
I'm sorry for letting you down, Tatiana. I made a mistake... I hope you can forgive me.
Tatiana... I know you won't talk to me but I want to explain myself. I didn't tell you because I felt it wasn't my place. We've been best friends since the 2nd grade and I hate that I broke your trust. I'm so sorry.
Early Scholarship Submission Rough Draft Version 4
Okay, so Principal Lee did NOT steal Emma's diary. But, I'm back with another theory and I feel like I'm really on to it this time. It was OLIVIA. Might be ruining my chances at that second date...but the truth is more important...
This is getting out of hand. Whoever stole Emma's diary needs to just come forward. You need to come clean. I'm serious. This can't go on any longer.
Remember the song Emma played at the talent show Freshman year? Well apparently, Charlie was supposed to play with her but Emma decided to go solo. Ouch. Did this turn into more than just a little band feud? I don't know... I couldn't do it all over again either, Charlie...
I've given this some thought and... I'm telling Principal Lee that I stole the diary, even though everyone KNOWS I didn't do it. To the person that did do this to Emma... well, I hope you're watching.
Early Scholarship Submission Rough Draft Version 5
I'm sorry I lied about what's been going on in my life. I didn't mean any disrespect or harm, especially to you Charlie. I'm ready to tell the truth about where I was and hope you all understand I've been struggling for a while.
Word's out. I'm gay. Thanks for kindly sharing that fact with the entire school, Emma. And yeah, I made copies of your diary and posted them at Homecoming. BUT, I did NOT steal your diary. The real culprit is still out there and we will find you...
I'm sure you've heard Emma's coming to Homecoming. What exactly does that mean for rest of us?! If only I could be there...This time I'll be relying on YOU for the scoop! If anything dramatic happens, send me pics plz. Bye!
Make sure to vote for Homecoming King and Queen! And do you think Emma will actually show up to Homecoming or will Principal Lee keep her out?
ya boy J.R. Jackson’s back AGAIN with another vlog. no theories rn…tryna stay on Olivia’s good side…but u already KNOW i'm bringing the moves at Homecoming and Olivia, i'm saving the best for you baby. ALSO pretty hyped for this drama that’s about to go down ????
Early Scholarship Submission Final Version.
Cat Carlson (played by Andrea Russett) is a promising podcast host, a true-crime fanatic, and now a leading suspect in the biggest scandal Colvin College has ever seen. In this exclusive interrogation footage, she reveals everything she knows about the fire that burned down Standish Hall.
Trip Wilson (played by Nick Fink) comes from a family tree that has been groomed to perfection. His mother happens to work side by side with the professor whose office burned down last semester. During his interrogation, Wilson discloses information about his mother's new technology and reveals his connection to Margot Miller.
Erika "Phoenix" Anders is best known at Colvin College for her dramatic antics. In her interrogation, she insists that she was not only present, but definitively in the middle of the Standish Hall fire.
Naia Santos is perhaps Colvin College's most vocal activist. Given her questionable history of exposing the administration, it's no surprise she doesn’t want to help them with an investigation...
Alvaro Villanueva (played by Gabriel Conte), Colvin’s famed gossip spouter and journalist, sits in the hot seat for a change.
The party twins Bella & Benedict Mondragon (played by Vale & Sebastian Genta) are the hottest influencers on Colvin's campus, but what drama goes down when their smartphones aren’t recording?
Dan Rolland (played by Miles McKenna) is the biggest introvert at Colvin College. In this exclusive interrogation footage, he steps away from the computer to confess what he knows about Margot Miller.
Despite her track record and impressive knowledge of social engineering, Harper Vince reveals she has little insight as to what took place the night of the fire on Colvin College.
Colvin College is still reeling from the fire that destroyed the administration building last semester, and put a student, Margot Miller, in a coma, when Professor Moynihan announces he will be offering his famous “History of Lying” seminar to a select number of students. Cat Carlson is thrilled to be accepted into the course: Moynihan is a celebrity on campus and is releasing his very own lie-detecting technology, CUFF, later in the year. But the class—“The Liars' Club”— discovers Professor Moynihan has his own agenda.
~~~My suns, my moons, and all my stars~~~ Because of my eccentric and peculiar past, I know many of you will not believe my truth as to what I was doing the night of the fire, but here it is: Erika "Phoenix" Anders' alibi.
Hello. This is a video detailing my activities on the night of the fire at Colvin College. If you have questions about any of the specifics of my alibi, I'll do my best to clarify them in the comments section below. Thank you.
The Colvin Cauldron is taking a break from its usual stories to bring you THE inside scoop on The Liars' Club! Join Alvaro Villanueva, investigative journalist and maverick, as he shares his watertight alibi and takes on the SCANDAL of the administration building fire—and don’t forget to like and subscribe to keep following the action.
Don’t worry, I’m not giving up my medium of choice for YouTubing, or whatever it’s called. You can still find my podcast, SUSPECT, in the links below! Or anywhere you get podcasts from. This is just my alibi video about what I was doing the night of the fire for “History of Lying.” Spoiler alert: it’s SUPER scandalous.
Hello partners in crime! Shout out to my sorority sisters, who promised they’d watch my alibi (I’ll be checking the number of viewers, Amanda, Phoebe.) I’m SO excited to be a part of Professor Moynihan’s class! Being suspected of arson is just a party favor. ;)
Hey folks, not sure why I'm doing this other than the fact it's an assignment...but, anyway, my alibi is pretty simple. Shouldn't surprise you, I was working out. This good enough for you, Moynihan?
My fellow activists, unite! I have been unfairly accused of setting a fire on my college campus. The powers that be try to silence our voices by vilifying us, but the truth will set us free! I know I can clear my name, and we can right this injustice. In the meantime, here's my alibi. ✊????
Hola beautiful people! ????❤️ Guess WHAT? We’re in the Liars' Club, babyyy! We put the party in GUILTY PARTIES, you know what we’re saying! But you saw our stories that night, right? We were just hanging out together! Check our alibi. We’re not "twinspicious."
Welcome to the first online iteration of “The History of Lying,” class run by Simon Morales. You may not have gotten into the exclusive seminar, but this is the next best (free) thing. This week, we will begin by exploring the essence of “Truth,” and why it is so important to society. After watching the lecture, you can follow the steps below to join the Google Classroom, where you can begin your homework.
The game is afoot! Cat begins her investigtion with her best friend and podcast co-host, Allie. They look over Allie’s super-helpful, super-pink suspect board, which ranks the other Liars Club members' alibis by how suspicious they are. They realize that Naia's alibi is really weak. Not only that, but Allie points out that they don’t know why the professor is so sure the fire was arson. Steeling herself, Cat decides to confront both Naia and Professor Moynihan about their secrets.
Tune in for another GROUNDBREAKING episode of the Liars' Club: Inside Edition. This week, Alvaro Villaneuva presents “Nice to Deceit You”— where he’ll be testing your skills as sleuths. Can you sniff out the one truth and two lies, Colvin Cauldron members? Like and subscribe to get a weekly cup of hot tea. As usual, enter the Cauldron here: https://www.discord.gg/b4kB3y2
I’m running behind on my homework, but I bet you guys won’t mind if I multitask a bit ???? Maybe my shirtless good looks will distract you from my painfully bad attempt at telling two lies and one truth.
Hello. Despite my moral reservations, I will be attempting to tell two lies, as well as one truth. To mitigate the damage of these lies, I will attempt to make them true after the fact. Thank you.
~~~My soulshine travelers~~~ I bring you three gifts: two are poison. To call any of these stories “lies” leaves a taste of ash in my mouth, but know that among them is one gleaming, perfect “truth.” Can you tell which one?
Welcome back to your number one, 24/7 game show: Spot the Deception! Can you tell which of my stories is false? Two of them are lies, and one is true! I hope that you’re learning something from me about lying, my partners-in-crime— or else you might find you’re a VERY easy mark. ❤️
To everyone asking, the care package drive went really well! Thank you for your kind words and your compassion! This week, Professor Moynihan wants to see if you can tell when I’m lying. Two of my statements will be true; one will be a lie. Whether this course is going to help anyone remains to be seen. Solidarity!
This week, you get to do a little detective work of your own! I’ll say three things, two of which will be lies. Try to spot the truth. Good luck! And, yeah, I’m still getting used to the whole “titling your video” thing.
Hola beautiful people! ???????? This week, we’re playing our second favorite party game: two truths and a lie! Oh wait, no— it’s two LIES and ONE truth! Maybe next time we can convince the Professor to let us play a game of virtual spin the bottle?
Welcome to the second installment in The History of Lying: Online. This week, we will begin by exploring the nature of lying and its birthplace in human instinct and physiology. After watching the lecture, you can follow the link below to the Google Classroom page, where you will begin your homework assignment.
The Liars' Club has paired off this week to see how much they can guess about one another's secrets. How well can they lie? How difficult is it to keep their secrets, secret? With this many eyes on them, who will be the first to slip up?
How do we know when we're being lied to? In this week's History of Lying lecture, we'll discuss liars' tells and divining truth from fiction. Everyone wants to believe that their friends, family, and loved ones are trustworthy—but we also want to know how to spot deceit. Lecture by Simon Morales.
In this week’s class, the Liars' Club learned the power of secret keeping—and the consequences of revealing secrets. For their homework, they were asked to reflect on their secrets, and how keeping the truth hidden can foster lies. Can they manage to stay truthful in their videos?
For this week’s lecture, we will be exploring types of lies and liars. There are many ways to deceive, after all— some subtler than others. Just as biologists categorize different kinds of venomous plants and animals, this lecture should help you recognize lies as they appear in the wild. Lecture by Simon Morales Again, we no longer have spaces free in our Google Classroom, but I invite you to watch the lectures and audit the class. You may not receive a grade, but what you learn will be invaluable.
The Liars' Club has been asked to reflect on their semester thus far and what they have been most surprised to learn. Most of their homework this week involved self-reflection: why did they find themselves lying?
Most of us agree that we lie to protect our secrets. Our deceptions are a shield against prying eyes and curious minds. But how do our intentions shape the kinds of lies that we tell?
Following their lesson in which they tested Cuff on each other, The Liars' Club’s task is to continue working in pairs with the device, in order to suss out the truth. What will they discover about each other’s versions of the truth?
With CUFF about to launch, and false news shaping the future of the world, it’s important to consider how technology shapes our take on truth. While it’s ironic that we’ll be studying this phenomenon in our Internet-based classroom, hopefully it will help you consider how technology has shaped your ability to be truthful. Again, we no longer have spaces free in our Google Classroom, but I invite you to watch the lectures and audit the class. You may not receive a grade, but what you learn will be invaluable.
In the last week of class, the Liars' Club has been asked to identify who they suspect set the fire in the administration building. Whether their accusations are correct determines who gets the A— the only A in the class.
As the lectures draw to a close, it is important to remember why we explored lying and the impact of the truth on society. Without truth, our society is in shambles— but without lies, would we be human? Thank you for your participation this quarter. It has been an honor to work with you. Again, we no longer have spaces free in our Google Classroom, but I invite you to watch the lectures and audit the class. You may not receive a grade, but what you learn will be invaluable.
