As the Tendoshu arrive to take control of the situation, Shigeshige makes an unexpected announcement. Later, things have finally calmed down, but one question still remains; Will Suzuran finally meet her beloved after all these years?

Con la llegada de los Tendoushu, la batalla contra Sadasada llega a su fin. Mientras Gintoki y los demás ayudan a que Maizo cumpla con su promesa se tejen nuevas conspiraciones contra el Bakufu en las sombras.
Les conséquences de la bataille se font ressentir. Maizo et Suzuran vont peut-être enfin se rencontrer.
혈전 끝에 오보로를 물리친 긴토키. 그러자 그때 선대 장군을 옹호하고 있던 천도중 무리가 나타난다. 선대 장군의 신병을 자신들이 맡을 것이며, 큰 소동을 일으킨 긴토키 등에 대한 처분도 자신들이 맡아서 하겠다는 것. 그러자 장군 시게시게가 나서며 이건 우리나라에서 일어난 문제이므로 우리가 처리함이 마땅하다며 천도중을 막아선다. 또한 긴토키 등은 결코 역적질을 한 적이 없으며, 오히려 자신들의 신념을 관철시키기 위해 일어선 것이라며 비호한다. 그러면서 선대 장군인 큰아버님을 막지 못한 자신에게도 책임이 있으므로 장군 자리에서 물러나겠다고 선언하는데...
Gintoki è riuscito a fermare Oboro, ma è giunta sulla Terra una nave dei Tendoshu che intendono portare via Sadasada, la loro marionetta. Shigeshige Tokugawa interviene e dice che suo zio dovrà essere giudicato secondo le leggi della loro nazione e poi abdica come shogun.
