Melinda's Jeep breaks down on a deserted road and a young woman who owns an auto shop comes by to help. Melinda meets a ghost who comes to her in the form of a skeleton. Melinda must first decipher the mysterious code that is linked to the drag racing society. Melinda finds that Ned is involved with the society and needs his help. Ned lies to his mom and sneaks out to go to the drag races. At the end the ghost finds closure and crosses over into the light.
La Jeep de Melinda tombe en panne sur une route déserte et une jeune femme qui possède un garage vient l'aider. Melinda rencontre un fantôme qui lui apparaît sous forme de squelette. Elle doit alors déchiffrer le mystérieux code qui est lié à une course de voitures pour s'y rendre et sauver la vie d'un des concurrents.
Mentre Melinda sta tornando in città dopo essere stata fuori per affari, la sua auto si ferma e le appare lo spirito di un ragazzo con le sembianze di un teschio che l´avverte della morte di qualcuno. Nel frattempo Melinda viene soccorsa da Cindy, una giovane meccanica della zona, e il fantasma scompare senza aggiungere altro. Melinda scopre che lo spirito è Gordon, il ragazzo di Cindy, e che accusa la sua ragazza della propria morte. Come se non bastasse Cindy fa parte di un gruppo di corse clandestine nelle quali è coinvolto anche Ned, il figlio di Delia, e ora che si sta per svolgere una di quelle pericolose gare, Gordon vuole la sua vendetta, costi quel che costi.
