A pair of pop-oriented songwriters; melodist/singer Bobby and tone-deaf lyricist Lionel - try to eke out a living in the Los Angeles music scene. The pair live with Bobby's younger sister, Jennifer, in an antique shop, and Bobby works on the side as a recording engineer until he and Lionel get their big break. Rita was their friendly landlady, and Rudy her cop boyfriend.
