شمس بائعة فريسكا تعمل على شواطيء الاسكندرية لكي تستطيع إعالة عائلتها الفقيرة، تتغير حياتها بشكل جذري بعد وقوعها في حب الصحافي رياض الذي ينتمي لعائلة ثرية، ويقرر أن يتزوجها بالرغم من كل اعتراضات العائلة، ويشجعها على مواصلة دراستها من جديد، وتبدأ منذ ذلك الحين رحلة صعود محمومة نحو القمة.
