The Gun

A police detective, (Dick Powell), returns home to his family after a rough night on the job, only to have his meal interrupted by a constant stream of people: the milkman, his wife, his kids, the neighbor, the postman, the grocery boy, and a salesman. Afterwards, he finds that his gun is missing. In a panic that slowly turns to paranoia, he realizes that each of the visitors had said something that makes them a suspect.
